'Lindsay Does Drugs Because She’s Bored,' Source Says

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan’s problems weren't solved by two weeks in jail, or slightly longer than that in rehab.

By her own admission, she failed a court-ordered drug test last week.

"This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences," she tweeted on September 17.

But according to one friend, Lindsay is still in denial, and can’t control herself.

"Lindsay does drugs because she's bored,” a pal of the actress told FOX411.com exclusively. “The only reason she’s 'fessing up about her drug use on Twitter now is because she knows that she has 'friends' that will sell her out. People have seen her doing the drugs."

"Right now Lindsay is feeling really low -- really terrible,” the pal added. “She's like, "Wow, I got set up again.'"And even though Lohan, 24, made the decision to use drugs after her release from rehab, she still blames others.

According to the insider, the actress originally had good intentions. "When she first got out of rehab, she took it seriously. She didn't want to do drugs or get back into that lifestyle," the pal said. "But then, she had all these people around her who were doing drugs in front of her, and that's when she slipped.

"A few weeks ago, I saw Lindsay out, and she was in a weird state of mind. It was terrible. She wasn't her fresh self like when she first got out of rehab. It was like she didn't care anymore.”

But former bodyguard Lee Weaver still holds out hope for the wayward actress.

"Lindsay's a strong girl,” Weaver, who is currently writing a book about his experiences in Hollywood, told FOX411.com. “She will come back -- she just needs to surround herself with good people."

Lindsay's rep did not respond for comment.

Lohan Settles $100 Million "Milkaholic" Suit

It's been a mixed week for Lindsay Lohan. Though there's a warrant out for her arrest after she failed two drug tests, one for amphetamines and the other for cocaine, she settled her $100 million suit against E-Trade. Lohan claimed the company insulted her when a baby named Lindsay was called a "milkaholic" in one of their commercials. Because if an addict of any sort is named Lindsay, it's obviously Lindsay Lohan.

Lohan had a bit more of a case after Esquire magazine discovered the milk-chugging child's name had been changed from Deborah to Lindsay. An E-Trade rep told the Post the settlement "was a business decision to move on" (incidentally, the terms were not disclosed). Now, Lohan can focus on the combined 60 days in jail she faces for failing the two drug tests.

Lohan wrote on Twitter yesterday, "This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences." Her mother, Dina, also said, "Addiction is difficult." Lohan will appear in court on Friday to determine whether the will return to jail and face all of that discrimination and torture.

If sources are to be believed, then Lindsay Lohan is struggling to bounce back from her failed drug tests.

The star is now choosing Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) over nightclubs, according to sources.

Lohan has already attended an AA meeting and intends to hit up another one, reports the TMZ.com

It seems the Mean Girls star is doing all she can now to be able to convince the judge at her next hearing that she at least wants to change.

On her release, the star of "The Parent Trap" and "Mean Girls" was ordered to undergo regular drug testing.

The violation involved cocaine use, the entertainment website TMZ reported.

Having given a positive result, she now faces up to 30 days in jail for a further breach of probation.

The actress said: "Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test. Substance abuse is a disease. I am working hard to overcome it.

"I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences." Soon after confirming the positive test, Lohan was photographed leaving an AA meeting.

Inferno is due to start shooting in Louisiana in November and producers' patience with the wayward starlet was said to be running out.

One of the options open to Judge Elden Fox, who is handling Lohan's case in Beverly Hills, is to prohibit the actress from traveling to Louisiana for filming.

Hopefully we can work this out and we are still trying to get to the bottom of what has happened. It is a lot of pressure having the world watching you but she seemed to be doing well recently.

Lindsay Admits failing drug test.

Lindsay Lohan confirmed late Friday night on her Twitter page that she failed a court-ordered drug test.

"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result.

"I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard," she tweeted. "but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful....Thank you all!!!"

TMZ.com reported that the 24-year-old actress had failed a court mandated drug test and tested positive for cocaine. Lohan initially refuted that report to Usmagazine.com.

"I'm fine," she said, offering her own interpretation of TMZ: "They're all nuts."

Lohan left a rehab program at UCLA Medical Center on Aug. 24 after 23 days of treatment. Earlier in August, she was released from jail after serving just 13 days of a 90 day sentence for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI case.

Lindsay Lohan Working On New Album

It is being reported that actress/singer Lindsay Lohan is working on a new music album.

The 24 year old just got out of rehab, and spent some time in jail before that and is trying to get her life back on track.

X17 online says that Lohan, is working on the album right now and that her ex, Samantha Ronson has written three songs on it.

She has also hired a new man to promote the album, former Britney Spears manager Larry Rudolph.

No date has been announced for the album release as of yet.

I think the songs "I wanna be bad" & "Stuck" and more of those leaked songs should be on the album because they were great!

Stars React to Lindsay Lohan Making an Album

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly working on an album as part of her big comeback in Hollywood. It’s not her first foray in music, but it has been a few years since she’s been in therecording studio.

Hollyscoop talked EXCLUSIVELY with her new manager Larry Rudolph, Akon, Audrina Patridge and Flo Rida at the VMAs to hear their thoughts on Lindsay’s decision to get back into music.

We asked Larry Rudolph if he was going to be working with Lilo on this project, and he told us, “Yes.”

Akon, who’s worked with huge superstars like Lady Gaga, even seemed positive about the idea. “She has the great image for it,” he said of Lindsay. “She can definitely create the controversy behind it to sell it.”

Flo Rida even said he’d be interested in doing a collaboration with Lindsay. “Anybody passionate about music, Flo Rida’s down for it."

Even Audrina Patridge seemed to be on Team Lindsay. Lindsay has a good heart,” she told Hollyscoop. “And I think she has a great chance of making a comeback.”

Lindsay Lohan Scores Saturday Night Live Gig

She’s been hoping desperately to make a career comeback and now it looks like Lindsay Lohan may well be on her way.

The “Mean Girls” actress has been officially announced as the host of “Saturday Night Live” for the December 4th episode. An inside source told Radar, “Yes, it’s true, she’s confirmed to host.” The last time she did the show back in 2008, LiLo had a blast and was a hit with the cast and audience.

This announcement comes after Lindsay had a quick and hilarious skit on the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards with Chelsea Handler. Things are looking up for Miss Lohan.

After her recent stint in jail followed by a trip to rehab Lindsay Lohan is getting back into the groove of everyday life in Los Angeles.

The troubled starlet has returned to her old pastimes - after reportedly partying all night at NYC's Boom Boom Room the troubled starlet is back in Los Angeles where she has been spotted shopping up a storm and lunching out with friends.

Lohan was spotted yesterday leaving Beverly Hills eatery Phillipe Chow after a long lunch with her friend, British socialite Lady Victoria Hervey.

Lohan looked healthy and happy as she rushed to her car, dressed in a baggy white shirt, tiny cut off shorts, big boots and a black felt hat pulled down low.

And it seems Lohan is also making a return to T.V. as U.S. website RadarOnline are reporting that Lohan is set to host the hit comedy show Saturday Night Live on December 4.

This will be the third time hosting the legendary late night show for Lohan, she first appeared in May 2004 and then again in April 2006.

Lohan recently got a chance to work on perfecting her comedic skills as she made a cameo appearance alongside Chelsea Handler at last week's MTV Video Music Awards.

The 24-year-old poked fun at herself and her recent brushes with the law during a pre-taped skit that aired during the opening of the show.

In the skit, Lindsay catches up with Chelsea, 35, backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards and lectures her on the perils of alcoholism.

At one point Lindsay slaps Chelsea on the face, yelling 'Wake up, Handler! Pull it together, you're a mess!

Meantime all the major chat shows are scrambling to secure a much coveted first post rehab interview with Lohan.

It was rumoured that Oprah had secured a sit down tell-all to air during her final season of her hit daytime show, but no official announcement has been made.

Lohan is currently preparing for a return to the big screen too. She is scheduled to play troubled adult actress Linda Lovelace in a movie about her life.

Like Lohan, Lovelace also struggled with substance abuse problems throughout her life. The famed porn star died in 2002.
