According to sources close to both Dina and Lindsay Lohan, the mother of the long-troubled actress is not facing facts about her daughter's problems or her clearly dysfunctional family life.
A longtime Dina Lohan associate said Sunday that following that bizarre interview Friday on "Today" with Matt Lauer, ''Dina was out of control. ... She simply doesn't get it. She sees herself and Lindsay as the victims of an unfair press. ... I think she has totally lost all touch with reality.''

A second source who formerly worked for the Lohans -- but still is in touch with them -- worries ''that Dina soon may go off the deep end. She was furious with Matt after that interview, thinking he was unfair and abusive. ... She's living in fantasy land.''
A Lauer friend said the morning show star was himself taken aback by Lohan's responses to his questions. ''He can't believe how blind she is -- or appears to be -- to Lindsay's problems.''
• Not that Lindsay's dad, Michael Lohan is one to weigh in on all this, but he did tell E! News (after the "Today" interview) that Dina needs ''to go to rehab for her denial, lies and other things.''
