The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was spotted visiting Lohan's apartment last month following news that the actress had been sentenced to 90 days in jail for probation violation.
Speaking to Extra, mum Dina said: "[Kim]'s a good friend of Lindsay's... She's been great. I'm friends with her mum Kris and they've been successful in their own right as well. We love them."
Dina added that her daughter - who was released from prison on August 2 after serving 14 days and is currently completing a court-ordered 90-day rehab stint - is "thankful" and "grateful" for the support of her fans.
"They have been sending her letters and cards, and Lindsay has been answering them, so we're really pleased about that," she said. "We're great, we're doing well."
It was recently speculated that Lohan could be released from rehab early, although her doctors have not written their final report and her release must be approved by the judge.
