Lindsay Lohan loves New York

Upon her release from rehab, Lindsay Lohan is going to hop a plane to New York says her mom, Dina. In an interview with the Today show, Dina explained that Lindsay wants to go home. The Lohan's have a home in Long Island and Dina wants her daughter far away from the "hardball" playing court system on Los Angeles.

"(She) will be coming back to New York. It's a different game you play there (California). The court system is a little different, " she told Matt Lauer.
Dina blames the judge in Lindsay's case for her daughter's troubles.

"We may have a case against the state of California,' she said, suggesting they might sue the state because Judge Revel went overboard when she sentenced Lindsay for violating the terms of her probation.

Lindsay was sentenced to 90 days in jail, but only served 13. It sounds to us like the system is working in her favor, but apparently it was 13 days too long for Dina.

"She's been through a lot. The judge played hardball. Lindsay was in with alleged murderers and she's become friends with a lot of them. Lindsay rolled with the punches and she's doing wonderfully."

"We have a new judge on the case, it just happened two days ago. I think she went overboard and played serious hardball with Lindsay. She's fired, basically."

Actually, she's not. Judge Revel removed herself from the case after te state prosecutor thought she stepped over the line by reaching out to the rehab center where Lindsay would be staying.

"She's already through it," she said. 'It's all blown out of proportion. Lindsay is now focusing on charity and helping the next 'victim' of tabloids."

You might remember Paris Hilton taking he same path when she was released foam jail. She vowed to become a philanthropist and focus on charity work. That lasted about 6 days.

Let's see how long Lindsay lasts.
